Our SIL homes in Brisbane sit in the southern suburbs adjacent to our Logan operations. That geographic concentration is deliberate. It means workers can move between homes during cover shifts without long drives, and participants in nearby SIL homes share workers they know.

Most of our Brisbane SIL homes are within twenty minutes of our Logan and Redbank Plains operations. That gives us a deeper bench of trained workers who already know the participants in the home, and reliable coverage when someone is sick or on leave.
If you are looking at SIL across Brisbane more broadly and we are not the closest geographic fit, we will tell you. Wrong-suburb SIL leads to higher worker turnover and is bad for the participant.

Do you have SIL homes across Brisbane or just the south?
Brisbane South. Our SIL homes cluster in the suburbs adjacent to our Logan and Ipswich operations. We do not service Brisbane North or Brisbane East SIL.
Are your Brisbane SIL homes purpose-built or rental?
Mostly standard rental housing. Where the participant needs purpose-built accommodation, that is funded under SDA, which is separate.
Can I share a home with someone I already know?
Yes, where the funding and the home configuration work. Some participants enter SIL with a friend or family member they want to live with — we can build a home around that if the match is right.
How does behaviour support work in your Brisbane SIL homes?
We follow whatever positive behaviour support plan is in place, written by the participant’s behaviour support practitioner. Our workers receive training on each plan they implement.
Can I keep the same support workers if I move SIL homes?
Where geography allows, yes. Most of our SIL workers cover several nearby homes, so a move within Brisbane South often keeps the team intact.
