Don't see what you're looking for?
Beyond the homes listed here, we work in partnership with Disability Housing Service Providers right across QLD, which significantly widens the pool of potential vacancies we can show you. Tell us what you need and we’ll check the wider network, not just our direct listings.
From enquiry to move-in
Nothing is confirmed based on a website listing alone. This is how a SIL match is actually arranged.
Enquiry call
A conversation to understand support needs, preferences, and the home you’re interested in. Support coordinators are welcome to join.
Home visit
Tour the home, meet the team, and experience the environment. Visits are arranged considerately to ensure current residents feel comfortable.
Trial period
Where suitable, spend time with potential housemates. Overnight stays can help determine if it’s the right fit.
Move-in support
We carefully plan the transition to make moving day manageable and ensure a smooth settling-in period.
SIL vacancy FAQs
Nothing is confirmed based on a website listing alone. This is how a SIL match is actually arranged.
How often do new SIL vacancies come up?
Availability can vary. Vacancies may arise when a current resident moves out, a new home becomes available, or existing living arrangements change. We regularly update our listings as opportunities come up and maintain an interest list for participants whose needs align with homes that are expected to have future availability.
Can I view a SIL home before deciding?
Yes, and we highly recommend it. A short visit gives you a much clearer feel than any listing alone. We organise viewings thoughtfully to ensure existing residents remain comfortable.
What happens if I am not approved for SIL funding yet?
You can still talk to us. Many participants explore SIL options before their funding is confirmed. We can help you understand what might be a good fit and that information can be useful when you discuss SIL with your planner or support coordinator.
Are vacancies first-come-first-served?
Not necessarily. Suitability is the key factor. A vacancy is offered to the participant whose needs, preferences, and compatibility are the best match not simply the first person to enquire.
What if no current vacancies suit me?
We add you to our interest list with detail on what you are looking for. When something matching opens up, we get in touch. In the meantime, we can talk you through other options including transitional accommodation or referrals to other providers.
